Tidio Pricing Explained for Online Stores 2026

What will Tidio cost your store once Lyro and Flows are added? Plan prices, how conversations are billed and whether a Tidio discount is worth it.

Tidio pricing depends on separate allowances for staff replies, Lyro AI conversations and visitors reached by Flows. Upgrading live chat doesn’t automatically give you a renewable AI allowance. The first 50 Lyro conversations are a one-off allocation.

For an online store, start with the work each product handles. A delivery question answered by Lyro uses a different allowance from a staff reply or an automated welcome message.

Tidio Plans and What Each Includes

Tidio’s Customer Service plans cover human support. Lyro and Flows can be bought separately or combined with that service.

Starter adds operating hours and basic analytics. Growth adds reporting and staff permissions, with Shopify support actions such as refunds. Plus and Premium cover custom requirements.

Tidio’s published amounts use US dollars (USD). An Australian-dollar budget must account for exchange rates and any payment-provider conversion fee. Tidio’s terms allow applicable taxes to be charged. Treat the tax line and billing currency on your order as part of the cost, separate from the subscription.

How Lyro AI Conversations Are Billed

Lyro counts a conversation when it first replies in a new thread. Further replies inside that thread don’t each consume another conversation. It’s a conversation allowance, not a message allowance or a promise of resolution.

Tidio’s Lyro limit guide says a thread closes after 15 minutes of inactivity. A later message starts a new thread, and another Lyro reply uses another conversation. An immediate handover to a person uses no Lyro quota.

The free 50-conversation allocation doesn’t renew. Paid Lyro packages renew monthly and have selectable allowances from 50 to 1,000 conversations. Higher allowances require a custom arrangement. When the free allocation runs out, Lyro stops answering until you purchase a renewable allowance.

Tidio’s automatic-upgrade guide describes interruptions when paid allowances run out. Eligible newer projects on standard monthly plans can move to the next quota tier automatically at 95% usage. The option is enabled by default where available. Annual plans and Plus are excluded. You can disable automatic upgrades and manage quota changes yourself.

Budget for the paid quota that covers your AI threads. Don’t assume every additional thread incurs a flat overage fee. The self-service purchase is a quota package, while higher-volume contracts have their own terms.

Staff replies have their own meter. If Lyro answers and a person then replies, that interaction can consume both allowances. An unanswered customer message doesn’t use the human-reply allowance.

Flows and Other Add-Ons

Flows are automations that follow the paths you configure. Their allowance counts unique visitors reached, so it isn’t interchangeable with either human or AI conversations.

The free Flows allowance reaches 100 visitors per month. Paid packages increase that allowance, starting at 2,000 visitors, and include more detailed flow analytics. A welcome flow reaching many visitors can need a paid package even when few people request help.

Growth has a separate No Tidio Branding add-on. Removing the logo is a different purchase from increasing your Lyro quota. Keep both charges separate in your budget.

A paid Lyro quota also supports product recommendations. Tidio’s Shopify guide describes catalogue product cards with variant selection and add-to-cart buttons. That feature requires the Shopify integration and suitable product data. It is part of Lyro’s shopping capability, so assess its AI allowance alongside support questions.

Tidio Discount Options

Tidio advertises two months free with annual billing, about 17% less than paying month to month. Annual billing commits payment for the year. A displayed monthly equivalent spreads that payment across 12 months.

The discount helps when your selected packages suit a stable workload. Paying annually for an oversized quota still leaves you paying for unused capacity. Tidio’s terms generally exclude refunds, except where the law requires them or exceptional circumstances justify one.

For a start-up or non-profit budget, use the standard allowances and annual offer as the baseline. Tidio’s Ukraine assistance announcement names non-profit organisations helping Ukraine. That restricted announcement isn’t a general discount for every charity or new store.

An unofficial Tidio discount code can be expired or invalid. Only include a promotion in your budget when Tidio’s checkout accepts it and shows its terms. A coupon-site headline doesn’t change your renewal price.

Worked Monthly Costs

These hypothetical stores use 200, 1,000 and 3,000 customer threads in a month. Assume Lyro answers 60% without staff involvement. Staff answer the other 40%, with no overlap or reopened threads. Each example reaches 2,000 unique visitors through Flows and retains Tidio branding. Automatic upgrades are disabled for these examples.

Monthly customer threadsHuman support componentLyro componentFlows and branding component
20080 human threads: Starter’s 100 allowance120 AI threads: 150-conversation package2,000-visitor Flows package; branding retained
1,000400 human threads: Growth’s 400 allowance600 AI threads: 750-conversation package2,000-visitor Flows package; branding retained
3,0001,200 human threads: Growth’s 1,500 allowance1,800 AI threads: custom Lyro arrangement2,000-visitor Flows package; branding retained

For the first store, the monthly bill combines Starter with the selected Lyro and Flows packages. The second uses a higher support tier and AI quota. The third exceeds Lyro’s self-service ceiling even though its human workload fits a Growth allowance.

The quota rounding matters. The second store leaves 150 of its purchased AI conversations unused under these assumptions. If staff join AI threads, the human allowance must cover those extra replies too. A busier sales campaign can increase Flows reach without increasing support threads at the same rate.

Compare package totals on the same billing term, then account for tax and currency conversion separately. Buy for each meter’s expected workload. If the resulting package no longer suits your store, use our Tidio alternatives guide to weigh a switch.
